FAQ
Q1: How to maintain wood handles? Will it crack?
The wood handles have been stabilized and sealed with food-grade wood wax oil. Under normal kitchen conditions, cracking is unlikely. Avoid soaking in water or putting them in a dishwasher. Every few months, you can wipe the handles with a small amount of mineral oil or walnut oil to maintain the wood's luster. In extremely dry climates, occasional oiling is sufficient.
Q2: Is the bread knife forged? Will the serrations become dull?
The bread knife blade is also forged stainless steel, but the serrations are precision-ground. Because each serration tip wears slowly under normal use, a bread knife can remain sharp for 5–10 years in a home kitchen. If needed, we can supply a special serrated-edge sharpener (available separately).
Q3: Is the blade holder made of solid wood? Will it mold or deform?
The base is solid wood, about 2cm thick, with a waterproof varnish coating. There are gaps between the acrylic dividers and the wood base, allowing air circulation to prevent water buildup. Under normal use – keep the stand on a dry countertop, do not rinse or soak it – it will not mold or warp. If water gets on the wood surface, wipe it dry promptly.
Q4: Will the blade rust?
Forged stainless steel has a slightly higher carbon content than ordinary stainless steel, which gives better sharpness but slightly lower rust resistance. Clean and dry immediately after use – do not leave them soaking in the sink. With proper care, they will not rust. If minor rust spots appear, wipe them off with a soft cloth and baking soda or stainless steel cleaner.
Q5: Do you provide warranty?
We provide a 12-month quality warranty from the shipping date. During the warranty period, if the blade breaks or the handle detaches due to manufacturing defects, we will replace the knife for free (excluding misuse). Normal wear (e.g., dulling of the blade) is not covered, but we can provide sharpening services or guidance.
