6 Piece Knife Sets

6 Piece Knife Sets

6 Piece Knife Sets Manufacturer & Wholesale Supplier

YJCookbest is a kitchen knife manufacturer based in Yangjiang, Guangdong, the city known as the Knife Capital of the World. Since 2006 we have designed, forged, assembled and packed kitchen knives, kitchenware and outdoor tools for customers in more than 60 countries and regions, including Europe, the Americas, Russia, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Our own team handles everything from blade blanking and heat treatment to handle fitting, logo marking and final packing, so the set you approve as a sample is the set that ships.

A 6 piece knife set is one of the most practical formats in our kitchen knife range. It is complete enough for everyday cooking, compact enough for a retail shelf or gift box, and priced low enough for promotions and online bundles. Our current six-piece models include five-knife sets with a wooden block, an acacia block or a wood-and-acrylic stand, as well as a knife-and-tool set that pairs four knives with kitchen scissors and a peeler. Blades are forged or stainless steel, and handles come in ABS, walnut, Pakka wood, TPR and hollow stainless steel.

Trial orders start from 10 sets, ready-made samples ship in 2–5 days, and every order goes through 100% pre-shipment inspection. BSCI, FDA and LFGB documents are available on request, and custom projects run through our OEM and ODM service.

Which Set Fits Which Customer?

Supermarkets and homeware chains. Shelf buyers need a clear contents count, a box that sells itself and stable quality across repeat orders. A five-knife block set such as HS3039 or HS3085N is the usual starting point, with retail colour box, barcode and label support.

Importers and distributors. A balanced range across price points works best. Many importers combine a value stamped set like HS4002, a forged ABS-handle set like HS3039 and a premium wood-handle set like HS4054 or HS3009, all from one factory and one shipment.

E-commerce sellers. Online customers compare piece counts and photos. Sets with a visible stand, such as the wood-and-acrylic HS3009, photograph well, and we can supply accurate contents lists and dimensions for your listings.

Private label brands. Start from the closest existing model, then change the knife mix, handle colour, holder and packaging so the set belongs to your brand alone. Logo options include laser engraving, etching, stamping and debossing.

Gift and promotional buyers. Walnut and Pakka wood handles, acacia blocks and gift boxes give a premium look at a mid-range price.

Chef Knife or Santoku: Which Set Fits Your Market?

HS3085N and HS4054 are built around an 8" chef knife, the default general-purpose blade in Europe and North America. HS3039 and HS3009 replace it with a 7" santoku, which has a shorter, flatter profile and is popular in Asia and with home cooks who prefer thin slicing. HS4002 adds a 7" cleaver for heavier chopping. If you are not sure which suits your customers, we can send two samples side by side.

Blade Steel, Hardness and Thickness

Steel Typical Hardness (HRC) What It Means in Practice
3Cr13 / 3Cr14 50–54 Easy to sharpen, rust resistant, lowest cost
4Cr13 52–56 Slightly longer edge life, balanced price
5Cr15MoV 55–58 Better edge retention, strong corrosion resistance
1.4116 / X50CrMoV15 54–57 German-grade steel, familiar to European buyers
7Cr17MoV 56–58 Harder, upper-price sets

thickness

Model Chef / Santoku Bread / Slicing Utility Paring
HS3039 2.5 mm (santoku) 2.5 mm 2.0 mm 2.0 mm
HS3085N 2.5 mm 2.5 mm 2.0 mm 2.0 mm
HS4002 1.5 mm 1.5 mm — 1.2 mm

Thick blades (2.0–2.5 mm) feel solid and are common in forged sets. Thin blades (about 1.5 mm) slice lightly and keep cost down. A higher HRC holds an edge longer but is harder to sharpen and more brittle, so we match hardness to steel and to how the set will be used. Hardness ranges are typical values for each steel and can be tuned through heat treatment.

Construction Details

  • Forged vs. stamped. Forged blades are made from a single piece through the bolster, heavier and better balanced, and sell at a higher price. HS3039, HS3009 and HS4054 are forged. Stamped blades are cut from sheet steel, lighter and lower in cost, a common choice for value sets such as HS4002.
  • Hollow-handle stainless steel. Seamless, hygienic, light in the hand, with a modern look. HS3085N belongs to this family.
  • Riveted vs. moulded handles. Riveted wood and ABS handles feel traditional and premium. Moulded TPR and PP handles are light, grippy and come in more colours.
  • Finish. Satin and mirror polish for a classic look; black hammered, titanium or non-stick coatings for a distinctive one.

Handles and Holders

Handles: ABS (colours and double steel head), TPR with wood-grain coating, walnut, Pakka wood, hollow stainless steel, POM, PP and composite. Holders: wooden block, acacia wood, wood-and-acrylic stand, magnetic holder, acrylic. We can match the slot layout to the knives you choose, add a built-in sharpener, or ship the set without a holder. For stand-alone holders, see our knife holder collection.

How a custom project runs

  1. Brief: your market, price target, set list and quantity.
  2. Design proposal: sketches, reference photos or 3D renderings of blade, handle and holder.
  3. Sample: you test sharpness, balance and fit, and we adjust.
  4. Production: after tooling and material approval. Custom sets typically take 30–40 days.

Packaging and Shipping

Each set is packed to protect the blades and the holder together. We print retail boxes, flip-top rigid boxes, gift boxes and inner trays with your artwork, and we prepare export cartons with your shipping marks and barcode. HS4002, for example, ships in a printed flip-top rigid box. Tell us the destination so we can match labelling and carton requirements, and send us your preferred contents wording so the box and the quotation agree.

Quality Control and Certification

Each set is checked on edge, handle fit, finish, logo and packing against the approved sample, and every order goes through 100% pre-shipment inspection. We supply BSCI, FDA and LFGB documents where your destination market requires them. Tell us the market and the model and we will confirm which documents apply.

Care Instructions for Your Customers

We recommend hand washing with mild detergent and drying right away, cutting on wood or plastic boards, and storing knives in the block or stand. Care instructions can be printed on the box or on an insert in your customers’ language.
